From Berlin to Sweden and now back to her German roots – but in a new role. Meet Julia Miller, our new Sales Representative, who will use her more than 20 years of sales experience to help develop Hot Screen’s presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Julia was born and raised in Berlin. In 2013, she made a big decision when she left Germany for love in Sweden. Without speaking Swedish, without a job and without ever having visited the country before, she packed her bags and moved.
– I simply followed my heart. It was a big step, but it turned out to be absolutely the right decision. Today, we have three children, a house and are very happy here.
Despite the major change, Julia quickly felt at home in Sweden.
– I found Sweden very welcoming and was pleasantly surprised. I have actually noticed the cultural differences more later on, especially since we had children.
Experience from an international growth journey
With more than 20 years of experience in sales, Julia has gained valuable experience. She joins Hot Screen from Oatly, where she was part of a company with strong growth and a modern way of working.
– It has been a fantastic journey where I have learned an incredible amount. I have been given a great deal of personal responsibility and worked in an environment where people are always thinking ahead. That is something I would like to bring with me to Hot Screen.
And the opportunity to be part of a new growth journey was one of the reasons Julia chose Hot Screen.
A bridge between Sweden and Germany
In her new role, Julia will work together with her colleague Michael to develop Hot Screen’s business in the German-speaking market.
– It feels very exciting to be involved in building our presence in Germany. In a way, I am returning to my roots. I can combine my German background with a Swedish company and act as a bridge between the countries.
For Julia, collaboration is an important part of success. She looks forward to developing the market together with Michael, who has already built many customer relationships in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
– I have great respect for what Michael has achieved. We have different experiences and strengths, and I believe we can learn a lot from each other. We are working towards the same goal, and together we can become even stronger.
More than just a print on a garment
It is not only the market and the opportunities that appeal to Julia. She also sees great potential in Hot Screen’s products.
– What I really appreciate is the craftsmanship behind the products. They are well-thought-out solutions with high quality and a clear focus on sustainability. Hot Screen feels like a stable and well-established company that is also at the forefront of development and innovation in the industry. I find that very inspiring.
With her extensive experience in sales, Julia also knows what it takes to build strong and long-term customer relationships.
– For me, it is about trust. Keeping your promises, being there for the customer and building a personal relationship. It is not just about sales and figures, but about getting to know each other and creating a partnership that lasts over time.
Family, friends and new projects
When Julia is not working, there is plenty going on at home. Together with her husband and their three children, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
– We always have some kind of project going on at home. I also enjoy working out and baking. But most of my time is, of course, spent with family and friends.
With her extensive experience, commitment and understanding of both Swedish and German culture, Julia will be a valuable addition to Hot Screen. We look forward to continuing to develop our presence in the German-speaking market together!
