"It feels open and harmonious when you step inside the door at Hot Screen"

Blåkläder and Hot Screen began their collaboration almost 30 years ago. Currently, close to 100 orders go from us a day to various recipients within the group, half of which end up at their VAS department in Svenljunga. Andreas Pettersson works here as supervisor and ensures that over 35 of our Hot 4000 heat presses run hot from early morning to late evening.

Erases "us and you" and build relationships

Blåkläder was founded in the late 50s. Today, the group is present all over the world with representation in Germany, the USA and Japan, among others. Their classic work trousers are easy to recognise, as is their blue-yellow logo. The head office remains in Svenljunga, where everything started, and the premises are being expanded – Blåkläder is growing. But the same warm, family culture lives on, despite that. A culture reminiscent of that at Hot Screen.
– It feels open and harmonious when you step inside the door at Hot Screen, says Andreas Pettersson. You take care of your staff, try to erase “we and you”, and that’s how we work too: here everyone is equally valuable, regardless of whether you’re a CEO or a cleaner.
Andreas has daily contact with his employees and makes sure to build good relationships. At the same time, he keeps an eye on the day’s order flow so that everything runs as it should. And it sure does: in Hot Screen’s floating order warehouse, Blåkläder is the only customer that has two fixed tables instead of boxes. Their orders are of such a volume that we get the best overview that way. Every day we also wait until the last order from Blåkläder before we pack them, to maximize our shipments.
– What strikes me the most is how fantastically well-kept everything is at your place, says Andreas. For that reason it becomes more fun to work, and at the same time it is also good when you come as a customer and think: dude, they have a handle on things here. Not even a splash of color on the floor!

Handles a lot manually – which surprises many

Just like at Hot Screen, a lot of manual handling takes place at Blåkläder, something that surprises many. But that’s also what makes the brand strong: all the hands that touch it. There is a balance to be made, a balance between efficiency and quality.
– If we can cut our lead time, it is positive for our customers, says Andreas. At the same time, this is a bit of a craft – it takes time before new employees are independent.
In the VAS department, over 50 employees print Blåkläder’s clothes and then send them out into the world. At each Hot 4000 heat press there are stacks of cartons marked with the Blåkläder logo. There are many heat transfers per day, and a lot of contact with our sales support. Andreas thinks that we have high delivery precision and that what we deliver is of very good quality.
– I speak for everyone who handles your decals when I say high quality and pleasant treatment. Often quick responses that are nice, friendly.
And this is how he answers the classic question:
– The collaboration works very well! I would always recommend Hot Screen to other actors.
