Heat Press Hot 2000 troubleshooting

It is important to get to know your heat press. What initially appears to be a malfunction can often be resolved by pressing a few buttons. Here, we will go through two common problems that you can easily address yourself:

If your Hot 2000 won’t start

If your Hot 2000 doesn’t start as usual, you can begin by checking if the machine is turned on. Also, make sure that the power switch at the back is in position 1. If the indicator light on the power switch or the display doesn’t turn on, check if there is power supply in the outlet.

The next step is to check that the emergency stop switch is not activated (pressed down). If that is the case, you need to turn off your Hot 2000, then pull up the emergency stop switch before starting the machine again.

If the heat plate doesn’t come down

If the heat plate on your Hot 2000 doesn’t come down when using the machine, start by checking if there is compressed air from your compressor reaching the heat press. Then, take a look at the bar pressure:

The pressure gauge shows the current pressure.
Check that the regulator is not closed – if it is, pull up the regulator and turn it clockwise to increase the pressure.
Clockwise = increases pressure.
Counterclockwise = decreases pressure.
